Additions, revisions, and corrections to the catalogue.
2026-10-08 · Dark mode and hand lettering
- Dark mode follows your system setting; the half-filled circle in the header switches it and remembers the choice.
- Headlines are now hand-lettered in the same hand as the captions. The serif typeface is gone.
- Drawings draw themselves stroke by stroke as they scroll into view, and a specimen redraws when you point at it. Reduced-motion preferences show everything at once.
- The 404 page has its own drawing: a thread that stops short.
- Restored the grass and ground line in the "models we can inspect" drawing, missing since the previous release.
2026-10-08 · Drawn home page
- The home page is now one continuous drawn sheet: eight plates joined by an ink thread that draws itself as you scroll. Every drawing is generated in plain JavaScript from a seed; there are no raster images.
- Each catalogue entry has a specimen glyph, drawn from its field and result type, shown on the home page, in the catalogue, and on its article page. Red marks a negative result.
- Hand-lettered captions use a self-hosted font. Reduced-motion preferences show the thread fully drawn.
2026-10-08 · Editorial redesign
- New paper-and-ink visual identity, self-hosted typography, original research schematics, and responsive layouts throughout.
- The geometry is now a separate interactive figure with pause and projection controls. Reduced-motion preferences are respected.
- Catalogue search combines with subject filters; filtered views can be linked directly.
- Article pages include publication details and copyable BibTeX. Equations are rendered at build time, with no external runtime dependency.
- F-010 revised to v2: primary mathematical citations, precise attribution, and an explanation of the smaller 81-vertex illustration.
- Material labels describe available sources rather than claiming verification. The history records changes; it does not provide immutable archives of earlier page versions.
2026-10-08 · Catalogue v1
- New site. Every entry is now a numbered family (F-001 to F-010) with a version, an evidence level, and a BibTeX block.
- F-001 to F-009: existing open-source projects catalogued at v1.
- F-010: design note on the unit distance problem, which shaped the site's visual design.
